Hero points are gained through daily studies of your hero's teachings in the Hall of Heroes in Sector 3, and by defeating other commanders who study your hero's rivals. The amount of Hero Points you have determine how much your Hero Bonus will be.

Changing HeroesEdit

You can change which Hero you follow at any time. Your first Hero change is free, but any change after the first costs 12% of your Hero Points, or 20% if you choose to switch to one of your current Hero's rivals.

Hero BonusEdit

Damage effects are applied as a bonus to any damage your Mechs deal, and are half as powerful as Single Skill effects. Generalisation effects boost all four of your Mechs' skills and are one third as powerful as Single Skill effects. Both Generalisation and Single skill effects are applied as a percentage of a Mech's Average Skill, not as a percentage of the skill being affected, hence negative effects may push a skill down to the minimum value of 1.

This is a table with value examples to illustrate the scaling of the bonuses versus the Hero Points total:

Tier Hero Points Total Single Skill Damage Generalisation
Tier 1 200 Pts 1.00% 0.50% 0.33%
Tier 2 1,000 Pts 2.00% 1.00% 0.67%
Tier 3 4,200 Pts 3.00% 1.50% 1.00%
Tier 4 17,000 Pts 4.00% 2.00% 1.33%
Tier 5 68,200 Pts 5.00% 2.50% 1.67%
Tier 6 273,000 Pts 6.00% 3.00% 2.00%
Tier 7 1,092,200 Pts 7.00% 3.50% 2.33%
Tier 8 4,369,000 Pts 8.00% 4.00% 2.67%
Tier 9 17,476,200 Pts 9.00% 4.50% 3.00%
Tier 10 69,905,000 Pts 10.00% 5.00% 3.33%

Note: some heroes give double bonuses, as denoted by a "++" in the Hall of Heroes, or with a (x2) on their pages on this wiki.

FormulaEdit

The following is a complex mathematical formula.

Note that the final result is rounded to two places for display within the game. It is unknown if the "effective" bonus is rounded or not, and if yes, to how many places. The formula to calculate your Hero Bonus is:

  • h -> Current Hero Points total
  • t -> Current Tier (ex: for [17,000 ; 68,200[ -> t = 4)
  • a -> Upper limit of current Tier (ex: for [17,000 ; 68,200[ -> a = 68,200)
  • b -> Lower limit of current Tier (ex: for [17,000 ; 68,200[ -> b = 17,000)
((h-b) / (a-b)) + t = B

Single Skill Bonus/Penalty = B
Damage Bonus/Penalty = B / 2
Generalisation Bonus/Penalty = B / 3
Double Single Skill Bonus = 2 * B
Double Damage Bonus = B
Double Generalisation Bonus = B / 1.5
